
Terris C. Harris, J.D., LL.M has joined Watkins Ludlam January 1, 2008
Terris C. Harris received his B.S. degree in Mass Communications and B.S. degree in Psychology, magna cum laude, from Jackson State University, and his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Outstanding Student Award in Law & Medicine. Mr. Harris also received his Masters of Laws in Health Law (LL.M.) from Loyola University Chicago, where he was an Associate Editor of the Annals of Health Law. He has lectured on several topics, including but not limited to, Bioethics, Stark II, Corporate Compliance and Non-Profit Healthcare Developments. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Jackson State University's School of Public Health. Mr. Harris is a member of the Illinois Bar, the Mississippi Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers' Association, and the American College of Legal Medicine. He practices general health care law with an emphasis in the areas of Medicare/Medicaid, health care mergers and acquisitions, physician employment and recruitment agreements, litigation and other matters in accordance with "Fraud and Abuse" laws.
