Hammons, a shareholder in the Jackson office of Watkins Ludlam law firm, has become board-certified in Creditors' Rights Law by the American Board of Certification, an affiliate of the American Bankruptcy Institute and Commercial Law League of America. This certification is accredited by the American Bar Association, and requires passing an extensive daylong written examination covering a wide variety of legal issues encountered by financial institutions, commercial landlords, and other companies. Applicants must also complete an extensive application process documenting their experience in Creditors' Rights Law.. He is one of two attorneys in Mississippi to have achieved this certification.
