In the 2005 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers, Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis, P.A. was recognized for its Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions, Employment, Litigation and Real Estate practices.  David B. Grishman, Gina M. Jacobs, Robert S. Lazarus, David L. Martin and Zachary Taylor III were included as top attorneys in the Corporate/M&A practice category.  Peyton S. Irby was recognized for his work in the Employment category, Thomas B. Shepherd III was recognized for Gaming & Licensing, and Mark T. Davis and Jim B. Tohill were included as top attorneys in the Real Estate practice category.

The 2005 edition of Chambers USA is the third publication of the book focused on the United States.  Chamber & Partners also publishes Chambers UK and Chambers Global and is designed to reflect market opinion.  Entry in the guide is based solely on market recommendation.  Researchers spent a year canvassing clients and lawyers across the U.S. to obtain a consistent market view of which firms and attorneys are considered leaders in their field.  Over 6000 telephone interviews and tens of thousands of comments were collected.  The qualities on which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client.
