WILLIAM F. WINTER, A SHAREHOLDER IN OUR JACKSON OFFICE, RECEIVED THE 2001 MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., MEMORIAL AWARD FROM THE NATIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION.
William F. Winter, a shareholder in our Jackson office, received the Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Award at the National Education Association's 2001 Human and Civil Rights Awards Banquet held in Los Angeles. Mr. Winter was honored at the awards ceremony for his successful leadership as former governor of Mississippi and his efforts in passing the nation's first truly comprehensive education reform act, which, among other things, established Mississippi's first public kindergarten for all children.
