ALVENO N. CASTILLA, CHAIRMAN OF THE FIRM- SELECTED AS A FELLOW OF THE MISSISSIPPI BAR FOUNDATION

Alveno N. Castilla, Chairman of the Firm, is a shareholder resident in the Jackson office. He has been Selected as a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation.

Alveno N. Castilla of Jackson received his B.A. in 1975 and his M.B.A. in 1982 from Millsaps College and his J.D. in 1985 from the University of Virginia. While in law school, he was Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Tax Review. Mr. Castilla was admitted to the Bar in Mississippi in 1985 and the District of Columbia in 1987. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee.

Mr. Castilla is a former member of the Mississippi Bar Board of Commissioners, and currently belongs to several professional organizations, including the Taxation Section of The Mississippi Bar, the Taxation Section of the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Castilla serves on the board of a number of organizations, including the Jackson State University Development Foundation, MINACT, Inc., Millsaps College Else School of Management (Advisory Board), and Jackson 2000. Mr. Castilla has received an A-V rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and most recently, he was listed in Best Lawyers in America, 2000 - 2001.
