GO Zone Incentives
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the coast lines of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. Soon after the disaster occurred, the federal government passed legislation modeled after economic recovery efforts resulting from the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The legislation, called the "Gulf Opportunity Zone Act (GOZA)" or the "GO Zone Act" created economic benefits for those businesses who are rebuilding, expanding or relocating inside the GO Zone.
